Justin is a pretty crazy dude. He has come soooo far in the past few years. I remember when a few of his first videos came out and I didnt think he was that good, just riding his local park and stuff like that. Then he started doin some pretty crazy little grind combos on this ledge at his local park and thats what caught my eye. The fakie feeble grinds are what got me to like Justin, and now he has just gotten amazing. So much in fact that he is now on the Madd Gear Pro team! Justin has some tech skills but also knows how to throw down on some biggg stuff. Hes got some pretty gnar tricks down some really big sets. His videos are always fun to watch and hes a real cool guy! So I give you the Justin Robertson Interview!

Josh- Alright so you just got back from a trip to the states with the madd team. What did you think of the U.S?
Justin- It was hella sick, finally got to meet a ton of people in person rather then talking online and it was sick getting to ride a bunch of parks/spots that i was used to only seeing in videos, i wanna go back again soon cause it was definitely the best week of my summer
Josh- Oh hell yea dude i bet. you havent really met any big name riders before in person, who would you say were some of your favorite people that you met on the trip?
Justin- Honestly i was stoked on everyone that i met/rode with, being with the whole madd usa team was awesome, and meeting guys like tyler wheeland, dylan kasson, jake clark was sickk too cause i had no idea we'd end up running into them throughout the tour, its so much different there where so many people ride then over here i only have like 2 friends to ride with hahaha
Josh- Dylan and Twhee are dope! So did you get to ride any crazy street when you were on the tour?
Justin- sadly no, i was pumped to ride street but the only morning twan had time to take us out street riding no one was down for it so i was the only one who went hahah got to ride one spot then i busted my heel first thing trying double whip off a school roof and that kind of screwed me over for the rest of the tour but it was near the end luckily, next time im out there though i wanna hit up a lot more street cause the spots over there look unreal
Josh- Yea thats always a bummer, so what was it like being in the Madd van for hours on end with the whole team?
Justin- haha well im pretty sure id go deaf if i was in there any longer just from how loud the music is in there, it was really chill though, a lot of funny shit was said and it was just a good time, i also spent a lot of time sleeping in it though just cause im not used to waking up so early every day haha i need my 12 hours of sleep
Josh- haha yea i can only imagine how fun that must of been. but you've been on madd for a lil while now. that must of been a dream come true! Madd prob has more money than all the U.S companies put together! Justin- i cant even describe it haha i NEVER expected to be riding for a company like Madd and then when i got on the team i was just like this cant be real haha but then i got a package of some stuff and it hit me that i was actually riding for them so now i just feel like i gotta step up my game and throw down as big as i can whenever i have the chance cause i know a lot of people questioned the fact that i got on when i first did and probably still do haha
Josh- Ahhh there all just hatin cuz MADD has some of the best park riders in the world. You got the street skills!!! Speaking of street skills when can we see a new edit out of you?
Justin- I was hoping for one by the end of summer but theres no way thats happening haha so im hoping by the end of the year i can get another all street or mostly street edit out, ive been slacking on filming lately just cause ive been riding a broken headset and had to take it easy, just got it fixed though so hopefully i can start getting some clips filmed
Josh- Sounds good man! What deck were you riding before you got on madd? Was it pretty hard getting used to the mgp deck?
Justin- the only decks ive ever owned before my mgp deck were pro models and ultra pros so at first i was shit i hope i can get used to the weight, but within a week i had everything dialed on it and honestly i dont think id ride another deck just cause they're so strong, been riding the same deck for over 6 months and after hitting 13 sets and some big gaps theres still not a single crack or bend so im stoked i dont have to get a new deck every month or 2 anymore hahah
